Liverpool To Host EMAs 08!
Liverpool has been chosen to stage the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2008.
The announcement has been made in this year’s host city Munich - where the gongs are being given out tomorrow.
The home of The Beatles will be European Capital Of Culture in 2008, so we thought it was only right that MTV held its biggest party of the year in the city.
Liverpool will become the third place in the UK to hold the ceremony after London and Edinburgh.
Taking place on November 06, 2008, next year's ceremony will take place in the yet-to-be built Liverpool Echo Arena, which will be christened in fine MTV style.

Liverpool Music Week and MTV announce partnership...
Liverpool Music Week and MTV have announced a partnership for the 6th Annual winter music festival.
The partnership follows the announcement of this year's MTV Europe Music Awards which is set to be staged at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Thursday, 6th November and will be one of the highlights of Liverpool’s year as European Capital Of Culture.
Liverpool Music Week, the UK’s largest indoor winter music festival, will be staging over 50 events, across 16 venues, and will play host to over 250 live bands.
Artists announced so far:
Vampire Weekend - Thursday 30th October, Liverpool Carling Academy
Goldfrapp - Friday 31st October, Liverpool University, Mountford Hall
Black Kids - Saturday 1st November, Nation, Wolstenholme Square
Dizzee Rascal - Sunday 2nd November, Liverpool University, Mountford Hall
